The sun was blinding riding down into the creek and then up on the dirt mound near the old HS and the Victoria hike/bike trail.

Stomp Rocket

Thursday night 10-14-2010 in the driveway playing with the Stomp Rockets. These have been around a long time, in the trees on the roof, in the neighbors yard, but they are still fun.

Biking around the area 10-2-10

rode up to the old high school, hit a garage sale to look for toys, bought lotto tickets for me and Skittles for him at a corner gas station and had a nice break to refuel up at the new fire station on Miori

Biking around the New Victoria High School

Checking out the new Memorial East High School that has been open about a month. This is a twin to Memorial West High School on the other side of town. It doesn't provide all the shade and neat drop offs like the old school that had all those connecting awnings between buildings with ramps and stairs.

Hot MTB Ride 6-5-2010 11AM

When I got back from a 9-mile mountain bike ride I looked up the weather on intellicast. Fort Davis weather came up and it was 92° with a heat index of 92°. I plugged in Victoria and it was 86° with a heat index of 102°. Got up to 94° later, but it was hot enough at 11 AM when I was riding.
